About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Genset Maintenance Technician to perform critical preventive and corrective maintenance on generator sets at various telecommunications sites. Your role is essential in ensuring network continuity and preventing outages. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, safety-conscious, and possess deep technical knowledge of genset systems and maintenance protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance on generator sets (KVA 85/60/30) as per strict Customer quality standards. Utilize a range of specialized tools (e.g., clamp meters, earth testers) and genuine OEM spare parts for all maintenance activities. Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on generator sets and associated Automatic Mains Failure (AMF) / Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) control panels. Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults within the genset system, including engine, alternator, battery circuits, and control circuitry. Execute detailed testing and commissioning, including test runs, changeover functionality verification, and alarm simulation. Maintain site housekeeping and ensure all site settings are secure before departure. Accurately complete all checklists and site reports for verification. Identify and report on minor and major discrepancies, performing on-the-spot rectifications where possible.

Mandatory Requirements & Skillset:

Certification: Valid certification under (JKKP / DOSH) is MANDATORY. Certification: Valid Charge Man Certificate is MANDATORY. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting generator sets. Technical Knowledge: Proficient in using all specialized tools listed in the technical scope (multimeter, earth tester, etc.). Safety First: Must own and consistently use full (PPE). A strong commitment to safety protocols is non-negotiable. Procedural Adherence: Ability to meticulously follow Quality Management System (QMS) processes and work instructions. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues and perform effective repairs. Independence: Must be a self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision at remote sites. Communication: Good verbal communication skills to coordinate with SOC and supervisors.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
