Shell Malaysia Upstream is a core country for Shell with both conventional and Deepwater assets that generate significant Cash Flow annually for Shell, supporting distributions and new investments in the transformation of Shell\xe2\x80\x99s portfolio into the 2030s.

The Shell Malaysia Upstream portfolio consists of the following:

• Several Operated Gas and Oil Producing fields in the Sarawak Asset that supply gas into the MLNG (Malaysia Liquefied Natural Gas) onshore plant in Bintulu; the Gumusut-Kakap and Malikai deep-water oil fields in the Sabah Asset, and substantial non-Operated portfolio of oil & gas assets in Malaysia.
• We have a significant CAPEX investment in the Growth Portfolio in MLNG (Malaysia Liquefied Natural Gas), Timi, Jerun, Rosmari & Marjoram developments and various exploration opportunities including Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) over the next 5 years.
• The Malaysia Development and Subsurface team consists of Exploration, Development and Subsurface professionals that are focused on the safe execution and operation of our wells and assets, in delivering production gains through prudent Well Reservoir Facilities Management, and in delivering more than 50 new development & exploration wells over the next 5 years to enable future growth and sustain our business into the future.
• Geo-Information Management Team is part of the Development and Subsurface \xe2\x80\x93 Geosolutions based in Miri, Sarawak. The team consists of Geo-Information Analysts, with strong customer base demand primarily located in headquarters in Miri.
• Geo-Information is critical to the Upstream lifecycle and has direct impact on many business decisions.

THE ROLE

You will be part of the Geo-Information Management team that is responsible in geoprocessing, interpretation, and management of geospatial data. Responsible for geodetic integrity for subsurface data, ensure uptodate asset geodatabase in support of Upstream activities.

As a Geo-Information Analyst you will be responsible to:

• Provide advice to customers through designing, planning, and delivering competitive geospatial solutions to complex problems to enhance Shell Malaysia Upstream business position.
• Implement geospatial and remote sensing data analysis, data compilation, active data quality/integrity assurance to maximize the value of geo-information acquired.
• Perform geodetic integrity check for subsurface data and processes. Implement Industry and Shell work process, standard, workflows and best practices to ensure safe operations.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Bachelor\'s Degree (BSc) or Master\'s Degree (MSc) in Geomatics/Geo-Information Science or a related geoscience technical discipline from a recognized university.
• Proven experience in Geomatics and Geo-Information/Geospatial, with a proven track record of delivering projects of exceptional quality.
• Demonstrate expertise in geodesy and able to perform coordinates integrity check and investigation.
• Application in remote sensing including able to do data mining and imagery processing. Familiarity with remote sensing software such as ENVI, ERDAS Imagine, or SNAP (Sentinel Application Platform) is advantageous.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online and/or other GIS software packages, geodetic software such as Blue Marble Geographic calculator/GeoSuite Toolkit.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective articulation of business and technical requirements.
• Enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and experiences, displaying a willingness to embrace others\' ideas and stay current with emerging developments. Capable of identifying gaps in geospatial technology or workflow and implementing novel technologies, techniques, and practices.
