This role will primarily lead existing or new complex projects covering various disciplines under Subsurface; manage expectation and ambition of the business to deliver high quality service; manage broad range of asset stakeholders and interfaces, both in the business and within SBO teams.
This role also supports TAO SS&WRFM team to maintain the global integrity for SS&WRFM (Subsurface & WRFM) data assurance processes, controls, performance measures and compliance. This role is a key interface between the TAO Data operations team and Upstream Development teams and other relevant technical communities.
The VP TAO will be accountable for maximizing integrated business value across the organization. Technical Asset Operations (TAO) is a key enabler for the accelerated delivery of Shell\xe2\x80\x99s Asset Management System and will help us to reach our ultimate potential in Downstream Manufacturing, Integrated Gas and Upstream. TAO provides high quality and cost-competitive technical resources who are not physically present at site yet are an integral part of asset teams delivering value through end-to-end AMS work processes.
Purpose & Accountabilities
Support delivery of various Project and services across the TAO Subsurface team
Contribute to fit-for-future and proactive sharing of knowledge and best practices
Coaching, mentoring & developing less experienced junior staff will be an integral part of the job
Increase collaboration within TAO and with other processes under Upstream organization
Accountable for providing Geophysical data management to support business activities such as seismic interpretation, seismic data processing, internal & external audit, data handover under One Subsurface function
Publishing final Geophysical related data such as seismic raw & interpreted dataset, magnetic data etc, and drive data quality improvement initiatives working with data owners, focusing on ensuring that global standards, practices and initiatives are embedded into the asset, in preparation for SDU deployment
Accountable to manage the physical seismic media such as seismic tapes, CD/DVD are in good shape and stored according to TDM standards. To ensure all physical media are properly inventoried and retrievable easily with clear labelling of content.
Identify, plan and drive delivery of continuous improvement opportunities and digitalization initiatives, realizing business value from quality data
Provide support in the establishment of processes, tools and standards to bring a step change in the delivery of Geophysical data management, data quality & data integrity
Provide relevant compliance information to business data/document owners for assurance and license to operate purposes. Ensure that all legal and contractual obligations are followed in the submission of subsurface data to regulatory bodies, government agencies and partners.

Skills & Requirements
A Bachelors or Masters degree, in Geoscience or Petroleum Engineer
Proven seismic data management skills, especially seismic data loading, data format in between Petrel & nDI, advance knowledge of the various seismic metadata and content
Proven understanding of the Technical Data Management and Subsurface & Wells environment, advance knowledge on data management tools/SSW applications/ databases such as Power Explorer, Petrel, nDI, CDS, OpenWorks, etc.
Sufficient familiarity of Analytics tools (eg Spotfire, Power BI etc) and the basic programming languages such as Oracle, MySQL, Python
A good understanding of the Upstream/DS/IG business and how it works.
Good Knowledge of the Epicure Architecture and hands on experience in various data stores and applications
Sufficient knowledge of Business Delivery Frameworks, assurance processes across the business lifecycle and the associated business processes
Proven change management and effective communication skills.
Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
A team player with well-developed interpersonal and presentation skills who enjoys working in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural project teams and can consistently deliver high quality results
Ability to independently, resourcefully, and creatively research and implement new solutions
Ability to clearly communicate data management issues to other team members and stakeholders and understand/incorporate insights from other subsurface disciplines.
