Veolia Environnement (Paris Euronext: VIE) achieved a consolidated revenue of 42.885 billion euros in 2022.Perform the role of Accountant with the assigned business entity(s) within the APAC Shared Service Centre, with ultimate responsibility for the timeliness, completeness and accuracy of the full set of accounts. This includes review of inputs from other processes that impact the GL like AR and AP. The Accountant will also be responsible for the statutory compliance of the legal entity in respect of GST, direct & indirect tax returns, accounts filing etc.Major Challenges:(Key challenges, if any, in carrying out these responsibilities)Dealing with external advisors and service providers.Compliance with tight reporting deadlines is critical.Working with AP, AR and financial controllers to ensure all the information is recorded in appropriate manner.QualificationsRequirementsQualification:Degree in accountancy or equivalent.ExperienceAt least 6 years of similar experience as an Accountant.Minimum 3 years audit experience. ( medium firm or Big 4 Preferred)Technical Know HowExperience with ERP systems is essential (Oracle JDE preferred).Proficient in using Microsoft Excel / google sheet preferred.Familiar with IFRS standardSkills / CompetenciesA person who is independent, hands-on, with good organizing and problem solving skills.Technically sound in Accounting.Strong in analytical skill.Good leadership qualities, result oriented and with a can-do attitude.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Good command of EnglishStrength / CharacterInitiative, able to work independently with strong coordination and problem-solving skillsMust be organized and detail orientedMultitaskingGood working attitude and committed to work.Must able to meet the timeline givenAdditional InformationPlease submit a detailed and recent CV with your current and expected salary.
