Job Description

As a GL Accountant, you will need to ensure accurate accounting for all transactions booked in the location\xe2\x80\x99s books. This role reports to GL Assistant Manager. You will be based in our Shah Alam office, on hybrid work arrangement. #LI-Hybrid

Main Responsibilities

Preparation of applicable VAT, Tax and other statutory returns including annual accounts.

Manage the analysis of accounts according to business requirements.

Handle Month end closing journals. * Perform bank reconciliations.

• Supporting audit and tax tasks.

Making and reversing accruals or prepayment as required to reflect the operations of the company.

Work on improving efficiencies and streamlining finance process flow.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial policies and statutory requirements.

Account reconciliations in line with corporate guidelines.

Preparation of books in US and local GAAP.

Other ad-hoc requests as vital

Qualifications

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree desired, or associate\xe2\x80\x99s degree plus relevant work experience or overall equivalent work experience.

Interpersonal skills; communication, analytical skills, Microsoft Office, Accounting System experience.

Minimum 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 of GL accounting experiences.

Working experience with MNC or public listed company.

Inventive and a phenomenal teammate with the ability to work independently in a dynamic and ambitious environment!
