Global Risk and Compliance Manager

Work Dynamics

Job Overview: As a Global Risk and Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, mitigating risk, and maintaining a robust compliance program across various areas, including contract compliance, ISO oversight, procedure compliance, data compliance, and auditing. Your role will involve developing and implementing policies, processes, and controls to ensure adherence to internal and external regulations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive a culture of compliance and risk mitigation within the organization.

What is your day to day?

Contract Compliance: Develop and maintain a comprehensive contract compliance program across the organization. Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, terms, and conditions.

ISO Oversight: Manage the organization\'s ISO certifications and ensure compliance with ISO standards. Assist in conducting regular audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps. Design and implement corrective actions to address non-compliance issues.

Procedure Compliance: Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies. Collaborate with process owners to review and update SOPs as necessary. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to procedures.

Data Compliance: Develop and implement data compliance policies and procedures, including data protection, privacy, and confidentiality. Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Collaborate with IT and legal teams to implement data security measures and respond to data breaches.

Auditing: Plan and execute regular internal audits to assess compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures. Identify areas of risk or non-compliance and recommend appropriate corrective actions. Coordinate external audits and examinations, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit findings.

Compliance Reporting: Prepare and submit compliance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies as required. Keep abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends that might impact the organization\'s compliance obligations. Advise and educate senior management and employees on compliance-related matters.

Managing the Regional Risk and Compliance Teams: Provide leadership and guidance to regional risk and compliance teams.

Set clear goals and objectives for the teams and ensure alignment with the global compliance strategy.

Monitor and evaluate the performance of regional teams, providing coaching and development opportunities as needed.

Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices across regions.

Coordinate and standardize risk and compliance processes and procedures across regions to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Act as a point of escalation for complex risk and compliance issues, providing guidance and support to the regional teams.

Desired experience and technical skills

Required

Bachelor\'s degree in business, finance, legal studies, or a related discipline (a master\'s degree is preferred).

Proven experience in global risk management and compliance roles, preferably within a similar industry.

Strong understanding of contract management processes and best practices.

Experience in developing and implementing compliance programs, policies, and controls.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across different levels of the organization.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred

Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) or similar certifications are a plus.

In-depth knowledge of applicable regulations, standards, and frameworks (e.g., ISO, GDPR, HIPAA).
