As a part of the Global Infrastructure Services team, our goal is to provide reliable compute, storage and network services to all Seagate factories and design center operations. Our motto is to architect and transform our compute/storage/network systems with standard consistent architecture globally to achieve stability, service agility, simplified support, and ease of management by any Administrators across the globe. About the role - you will:
As a Global Infrastructure Services (GIS) intern help to optimize and continuously improve our business processes and projects by assist with our team on implementing IT Infrastructure automation initiatives around data center infrastructure that includes Linux and Windows OS environment. You will work on the following scope:

• Create Ansible playbooks and modules to automate system administration for distributed data centers and global infrastructure.
• Automate the repetitive OS support tasks through Ansible and PowerShell.
• Develop Ansible templates, playbooks integrated with Python scripts for infrastructure config automation.
• Automate the VM provisioning process.
• Produce documentation for tasks completed, according to established standards
• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments

Your experience includes:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience in UNIX/Linux system administration: SSH, monitoring processes, attaching storage, cleaning disk space, tailing logs, etc.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Linux OS internals, file systems, disk/storage technologies, and storage protocols.
• Proficiency in high-level scripting languages such as Python and/or Shell.
• Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools: Ansible, PowerShell, Terraform.
• Experience with monitoring and system alerting tools.
• Solid knowledge and experience in administering Linux, Windows, and VMware environments.
