Position Summary:


We are currently looking for a highly competent Global Procurement Manager based in Kuala Lumpur, responsible for supporting the commercial and sourcing activity for the Contract Manufacturing category.
Reporting directly to the Global Category Manager, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the category strategy for the spend in scope on a global level by using strategic sourcing processes, tools, policies and collaborating cross-functionally with the business unit stakeholder. Although based in Kuala Lumpur, applicants should be aware that a significant proportion of the role will be managing stakeholders in other zones, particularly Europe, and so a high level of flexibility and awareness will be required to ensure efficient management of all activities.

A day in the life of a Global Procurement Manager for Contract Manufacturing:

• Support the Global Category Manager in defining the category strategy and implement it by using Strategic Sourcing processes, tools and policies.
• Take the lead on relationship management program for strategic contract manufacturers ensuring cost improvement plans, sustainable performance and capturing innovation.
• Perform supplier market/category/supply risk analysis and develop Total Cost Ownership (TCO) models to identify improvement opportunities.
• Create a competitive environment for Nestl\xc3\xa9\xe2\x80\x99s needs.
• Deliver all sourcing activities related to the launch of new products through contract manufacturers keeping in mind the key business objectives such as launch date (scouting potential suppliers, leading the selection process and driving the commercial negotiation until contract signature).
• Develop in depth knowledge of the supplier market related to contract manufacturing for the product portfolio of the business unit.
• Negotiate contracts ensuring the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers in line with the strategy.
• Manage the relationship with various stakeholders to integrate category plans and outcomes in local budgets and price planning.
• Ensure compliance to Nestl\xc3\xa9\'s Corporate Business Principles, policies and standards.

What will make you successful:

• University degree in either in Procurement/Supply Chain or equivalent.
• Strong flexibility and mental agility to represent procurement successfully and demonstrate added value in key meetings with business units, R&D, manufacturing, quality and supply chain.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing, supplier management or strategic procurement, ideally gained in Contract Manufacturing category.
• Rich experience in managing supplier development initiatives to improve supplier competitiveness and capturing innovation with suppliers in coordination with Manufacturing.
• Demonstrated successful use of risk management, responsible sourcing and supplier relation management.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with individuals across a complex organization operating in multiple countries.
• Fluency in English
