JOB SUMMARY
Support the globalization of business through leading and coordinating the standardization of systems, procedures and policies across all of the Jabil workcells. Ensure that current and future quality and manufacturing systems meet and/or exceed customer and regulatory requirements. Review and promote improvement in customer metrics to ensure customer satisfaction. Act as a liaison between Jabil sites for program transfers including providing input into transfer plans and timelines, supporting data and knowledge transfer activities and participating in launch activities as needed. Provide support and technical assistance to new facility and/or workcell startups. Provide mentoring and technical assistance to direct reports and Jabil site Quality Managers and staff.

LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment and Retention:
\xc2\xb7 Recruit, interview and hire Global Quality Engineers.
\xc2\xb7 Communicate criteria to recruiters for Global Quality Engineers position candidates.
\xc2\xb7 Coach Quality staff in the interviewing/hiring process.
\xc2\xb7 Monitor team member turnover; identify key factors that can be improved; make improvements.
Employee and Team Development:
\xc2\xb7 Identify individual and team strengths and development needs on an ongoing basis.
\xc2\xb7 Create and/or validate training curriculum in area of responsibility.
\xc2\xb7 Coach and mentor Quality staff to deliver excellence to every internal and external customer.
\xc2\xb7 Create and manage succession plans for Quality function.
Performance Management:
\xc2\xb7 Establish clear measurable goals and objectives by which to determine individual and team results (i.e. operational metrics, results against project timelines, training documentation, attendance records, knowledge of operational roles and responsibilities, personal development goals).
\xc2\xb7 Solicit ongoing feedback from Business Unit, peers and team member on team member\xe2\x80\x99s contribution to the team.
\xc2\xb7 Provide ongoing coaching and counseling to team member based on feedback.

FUNCTIONAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

\xc2\xb7 Define, develop and implement a Quality strategy which contributes to the campus strategic directions.
\xc2\xb7 Develop an understanding of the workcell business strategy as it pertains to Quality.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
\xc2\xb7 Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil\xe2\x80\x99s software packages in an integrated system such as SAP.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
\xc2\xb7 Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
\xc2\xb7 Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable company\xe2\x80\x99s business goals and objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets.
\xc2\xb7 Strong financial and analytical ability. Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
\xc2\xb7 Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes as well as global customs regimes.
\xc2\xb7 Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous
productivity and cost reduction programs.
\xc2\xb7 Strong and convincing communication skills.
\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Engineering or Business Management or equivalent education and training
\xc2\xb7 6 to 8 years experience in a relevant Jabil quality position or equivalent external work experience, including at least 5 years experience in a supervisory or management role within an accounting department.
\xc2\xb7 Must have Global work experience in Quality Engineering
\xc2\xb7 Travel required.
\xc2\xb7 Or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
