In addition, helping customers all over the world improve efficiency, save resources and reduce emissions gives our work a powerful sense of purpose Supporting the local sales and product marketing teams in the assigned set of countries and the assigned Product Groups with technical and commercial tasks. Reporting to Global Sales Support Manager and serve as a key technical resource in assigned areas within Electrification Business.

Your responsibilities

  • Offering technical advice and providing comment on enquiry specifications for customers/channels/Sales Specialists with regard to ABB products/systems/ applications. Provides technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations.
  • Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine most suitable technical solution to meet customer needs. Proposes technical solutions for complex enquiries.
  • Preparing and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations for both internal staff and customers on complex product issues, offering product/ solution/service-related training. Prepares and checks technical articles for publication.
  • Preparing offers in coordination with the local sales unit and Global Sales Specialists. Ensuring technical and financial aspects of offers, including price and trading conditions, are appropriate and developing, maintaining new sales opportunities and manages resolution to specific customer problems.
  • Participating in customer visits during their visits to local factory site. Preparing product presentations in coordination with Marketing Manager.
  • Implementing global standards, rules, tools, policies and processes related to operations/project execution and shares functional best practices and lessons learned across the organization.
  • Ensuring budget (volumes) and profitable growth targets are achieved in the respective countries and for all assigned Product Groups. Ensures achievement of targets on orders, net price variance (NPV), Net Promoter Score (NPS)
  • Supporting our local sales organizations and product marketing team in the assigned set of countries with technical and commercial tasks and serving as key technical sources in the assigned area.
  • Working with customers globally, some travelling is included (due to Covid-19 this will be valid according to safety regulations and country policies).
  • Providing technical advice and comments on enquiry specifications for customers, Providing technical support during technical meetings, products presentations, and negotiations.
  • Contributing to our sales targets by providing cross-function coordination, closely working with colleagues and customers while broadening your global network and deepening your technical and sales skills.

Your background

  • A university degree in Electrical Engineering or/and a solid technical background in electrotechnics with 5 years of relevant experience required.
  • A strong sense for service, customer-focused mindset and willpower that contribute to our future success.
  • Knowledge on Low Voltage business and local markets in Asia as well as specifically on Solar and Critical Power markets, previous experience in sales or commercial tasks.
  • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
