Work you\'ll do

Global Technology Services works at the forefront of technology development and processes to support and protect Deloitte around the world. Deloitte Global builds world-class technology solutions in support of the business, member firms, and our clients\' network and security strategies. As part of our team, you can design, build, and maintain automated network solutions using programming languages, APIs, and network automation tools in the public and private cloud.

Responsibilities:

• Working closely with network engineering and operations teams to understand their requirements and automate processes to provide deployment and operational efficiencies in both the public cloud and private cloud
• Review requirements, and work with necessary teams, ensuring there is agreement on what software is to be built
• Build and test code to validate functionality against requirements
• Participate in project retrospectives and contribute to continuous improvement of the software development life cycle
• Monitoring network automation processes to ensure they are running correctly and making improvements where necessary.
• Troubleshooting network issues and providing timely solutions.
• Collaborating with other teams to integrate network automation solutions with other systems and applications.
• Documenting network automation processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
• Stay current on technologies

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in languages like JavaScript, Python, bash scripting, java, and Perl
• Knowledge and experience working with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge and experience working with JSON
• Comfort in a Linux environment and troubleshooting using the Linux command line
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
• Knowledge and application of object-oriented design principles
• Experience building cloud-native or hybrid applications
• Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Experience with Ansible playbook creation, creating/using roles, and Ansible inventory management
• Experience managing and using Ansible Automation Platform (formerly Ansible Tower)
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Education:

• Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
