About the job

I am responsible for the coordination and optimization of goods flow processes within my area of responsibility in the store. I do this by supporting and working alongside goods flow co-workers to reach excellence in execution as well to maximize our store's logistics performance. I strive to reach the highest possible product availability, correct quality of the products and neat and clean sales locations at the lowest possible cost.

Your assignment

  • Influence and lead the goods flow co-workers to secure that the goods flow processes are executed correctly, reaching the highest possible goods availability and enable customer order fulfilment at all times to the lowest possible cost.
  • Support the goods flow team managers to identify, retain and develop the many talents in the goods flow team to secure future succession. Strive to create teams that are competent and can execute the assigned responsibilities with confidence. Support goods flow co-worker's competence development by sharing own knowledge of effective and efficient goods flow processes.
  • Ensure the goods flow team works according to the inventory routine, in order to maximize stock accuracy and achieve product availability for the customers.
  • Live the IKEA values and nurture a strong and thriving IKEA culture that inspires colleagues to reach extraordinary achievements in the store and especially in the goods flow team.
  • Ensure the goods flow team works in compliance with the IKEA Code of Conduct, internal IKEA regulations and local legislation relating to health, safety and security. Secure that the principles of health and safety in the goods flow processes are understood and followed.
  • Actively work to achieve agreement in the logistics action plan, ensure that the actions connected to areas of responsibility are implemented and followed. Share relevant goods flow input and feedback into the next year's logistics action plan.
  • Secure an effective, qualitative and efficient daily goods flow operation within the assigned goods flow processes in order to guarantee an excellent customer shopping experience through quality of products, merchandising and stock accuracy.
  • Take responsibility in lowering environmental impact and contribute to achieving long-term profitability in a sustainable way.
Qualifications
  • Experience of working in a retail and/or logistics role
  • Understand Safety in Goods Handling (SiGH) and the SOP's for goods flow processes
  • Ability to work through others, set priorities, delegate responsibility and gives open and honest feed-back.
  • Ability to inspire and engage others.
  • Business-minded with a clear customer focus and problem-solving experience.
  • Ability to meet agreed budgets and goals, and work on plans.
  • Ability to work during early and late hours of the day.
  • Ability to identify need for and drive change in ways of working.
  • Ability to reflect and find value and ideas in collaborating with others.
