Job Description

A regional category management role focused on indirect procurement, responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to ensure continuity of supply, cost efficiency, and value creation across multiple markets. The position involves cross-functional collaboration, supplier negotiations, and supporting local teams to align with strategic purchasing objectives and compliance standards.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the region to manage indirect material spending and ensure alignment with both country-specific and regional targets.
  • Oversee regional and support local investments and projects, particularly those involving FIDIC Green Book contracts, ensuring adherence to established commercial procedures.
  • Execute strategic and operational tasks within indirect material categories, following the Group Purchasing Spend Area Management framework to support supply continuity, cost competitiveness, sustainability, and value generation.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal purchasing policies to uphold the function's integrity and reinforce a responsible corporate image.
  • Conduct regular negotiations with suppliers of indirect materials, guided by spend area strategies and market intelligence, to meet purchasing goals effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to secure reliable supply chains, favorable terms, and long-term value.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to drive innovative and cost-effective supplier solutions.
  • Communicate and monitor compliance with category strategies across local and regional purchasing teams to ensure alignment and achievement of objectives.
  • Support the Group Purchasing Director by providing tools, training, and guidance to enhance the performance and efficiency of local procurement teams.

A successful Purchasing Manager should have:
  • Holds a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Brings over five years of experience in procurement, project management, or a related commercial function.
  • Skilled in negotiation strategies and techniques.
