SUMMARY OF THE ROLEWe're seeking a Group Purchasing Senior Category Executive for raw material categories to ensure the Jotun network has a steady supply of necessary materials at competitive terms to operate efficiently by executing category strategies and action plans in line with the Group Purchasing Category Management Concept to deliver on the purchasing objectives and contribute in the best possible way to the long-term competitiveness of Jotun.This position will report directly to Group Purchasing Senior Category Manager, and will be based in Glenmarie, Malaysia.Responsibilities:Manage assigned raw material categories by executing strategic and tactical work per the Group Purchasing Category Management Concept in close cooperation with the relevant Group Purchasing Senior Category Manager to ensure an effective purchasing process and to deliver on the purchasing objectives Continuity of Supply, Competitive Terms, Value Creation and Sustainable Sourcing.Ensure all purchasing activities are conducted in line with the Jotun Purchasing Policy to safeguard the integrity of the function and contribute to a professional and responsible Jotun image in line with company strategy.Negotiate with raw material suppliers together with the Group Purchasing Senior Category Manager on a regular basis in line with the category strategies and the current market developments as identified through market Intelligence work and input from the Group Purchasing to deliver effectively on the purchasing strategies.Establish and maintain good relationships with key suppliers in line with the category strategy by keeping regular, close contact with relevant suppliers to ensure and achieve continuity of supplies, competitive terms, value creation and sustainable sourcing for the Jotun.Ensure timely implementation of Supplier Audits/ Assessments in all regions for ensuring compliance with Jotuns Values, Jotun Business Principles, Jotun Anti-corruption Policy, UN Global Compact principles as well as HSEQ requirements.Contribute to effective cross-functional collaboration with other relevant stakeholders in Jotun to obtain innovative, cost-effective, and competitive solutions from suppliers.Ensure alignment to category strategies from local/regional purchasing departments by communicating agreements and following up on agreement compliance to deliver on the purchasing objectives and category targets.Assist in providing the necessary tools, training, and support to the local purchasing organizations to improve their efficiency and effectiveness continuouslyAssist in providing the necessary support related to new/ innovation projects in close collaboration with other relevant stakeholders in the region.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFERQualifications

  • Bachelors Degree from Business Administration, Business Management or Supply Chain Management with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.
  • Preferably have experience and knowledge in Purchasing.
  • Good communication in English for speaking, reading and writing.
  • Strong communication, negotiation skills, and market and data analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and PowerBI
