The Golden Triangle neighborhood, Kuala Lumpur\xe2\x80\x99s thriving business and financial district, will soon see the opening of the new Four Seasons Hotel and Residences. The Hotel is part of a 65-storey mixed-use tower that will include 242 Four Seasons Private Residences, 27 serviced apartments, a 209-key Four Seasons Hotel and a six- floor of 250,000 square foot luxury retail podium, collectively known as Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur.

The latest addition to the city\xe2\x80\x99s dramatic skyline and a vibrant hub for both business and leisure travelers, Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur will be conveniently located in close proximity to the city\xe2\x80\x99s major attractions, including the Petronas Twin Towers and the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). Often referred to as a \xe2\x80\x9ccity within a city,\xe2\x80\x9d the KLCC will offer designer shopping, fine dining, and the best of the city\xe2\x80\x99s electric nightlife. The Hotel will also overlook the KLCC Park and be directly connected to the esplanade, allowing guests to take full advantage of the Park\xe2\x80\x99s 50 acres of green space, including lush gardens, fountains, waterfalls, a wading pool, and jogging track.

An exciting addition to Kuala Lumpur\xe2\x80\x99s culinary scene, the Hotel will introduce several unique dining outlets to the city, including a Cantonese restaurant, lobby and rooftop pool bars, and an all-day dining restaurant with sweeping views of the Petronas Twin Towers.

GUEST SERVICES ATTENDANT - BELLMAN

The Bellman is an integral part of the Guest Services Team whose main objective is to ensure our guests are well looked after from the start. As the first and last impression of the Hotel, this high profile department carries a special responsibility. The Bellman is stationed at the bell stand inside the hotel and greets each guest by name upon arrival and departure. The Bellman transports luggage to the guest room for arrivals and transports luggage for departing guests to the hotel entrance or into temporary storage. The Bellman also provides arriving guests with a hotel orientation.

We are looking for candidates who have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and the ability to multi task are required. Excellent communication skills are essential. Physical by nature this position requires standing for 8 hours per shift and the ability to lift and push at least 50lbs. The ideal candidate will also have a warm welcoming smile, a positive attitude and be knowledgeable about the local area.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:

  • The ability to review all materials concerning daily events, i.e, return guests, VIPs and function sheets.
  • The ability to escort arriving guests to their room, handling their luggage with care and efficiency and observing the safety of guest whilst driving the buggy. The ability to provide a warm, friendly and courteous arrival experience in accordance to the standards.
  • The ability to orientate guest of the surroundings facilities whilst transferring arrival guest to their rooms and presenting the in-room orientation.
  • The ability to assist departing guests with luggage, transportation requirements, As well as the ability to store and retrieve guest luggage and belongings.
  • The ability to page guest at public areas, answer telephones, deliver messages, packages, flowers, etc. to their guest rooms.
  • The ability to run errands for guests and the concierge staff.
  • The ability to help maintain high standard of cleanliness in the lobby, at the Concierge Desk, the front entrance and the luggage storage areas.
  • The ability to work closely with Front Office, Valet Parking and door staff.
  • The ability to keep the concierge well-informed as to any guest problems, special requests, complaints, etc.
  • The ability to report deficiencies noted in guest rooms to the housekeeping/engineering staff.
  • The ability to follow-up on missed wake up calls and any phones off the hooks.
  • The ability to collect and polish guest shoes.
  • The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency of safety situation.
  • The ability to process courier/shipments and verify location of items being held.
  • The ability to retrieve guest laundry from guest rooms and deliver it to laundry.
  • The ability to co-ordinate group arrival and all luggage movements
  • The ability to co-ordinate group departure and all luggage movement
  • The ability to maintain an accurate limo/car records log detailing guest name, time of departure, destination, time of arrival and time of return to the hotel.
  • The ability to monitor the maintenance of the hotel car including cleanliness as well as stock amenities i.e maps, waters, cd\xe2\x80\x99s etc.
  • The ability to project an image of friendliness, professionalism and willingness to provide personalized service to guests. As well as the ability to call guests by their names and remember return guest\xe2\x80\x99s names.
  • The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by Bell Captain, Hotel Assistant Manager, Front Office Manager, Director of Rooms and General Manager.
  • The ability to maintain an accurate working knowledge of the town, as well as information of the hotel and all special events that is happening in the island.
  • Candidates must speak read and write Bahasa Malaysia as well as being fluent in English. Must have the right to work in Malaysia.
