Job Description
KYUEM teaching staff must be well-qualified graduates who have prior experience in teaching their specialist subject at a high level. Desirable requirements for successful applicants will include: Experienced in Teaching: A Level History (AS/A2 Level) Qualifications and Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Arts, majoring in History or equivalent
- A PGCE is desirable if you do not have a teaching degree
- At least 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience teaching A-Level in the subject discipline
- Aptitude to teach to high ability students with high expectations
- Demonstrate strategies for moving students from A to A*
- Ability to plan innovative teaching activities
- Experience of working in a residential school environment, plus the supervision of extra-curricular programmes are both desirable attributes
- Undertake teaching and teaching related duties such as design, preparation and development of teaching materials; conduct classes/lectures, tutorials and practicals; consultation with students, invigilation, marking and assessment.
- Establish and maintain high standards of teaching and effective learning to meet the University\'s teaching and learning expectations.
- Administration and other activities.
- Undertake and contribute in administrative responsibilities such as attending departmental meetings, participate in committees and working groups within the Department and College.
