Overall Job Objectives:

The Hair Assistant supports the hairstylist team by providing essential assistance in daily salon operations. This position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills in the beauty industry and gain experience in a fast-paced salon environment.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist senior stylists and colorists in various hair services, including but not limited to shampooing, conditioning, and color application. Greet and attend to clients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring their comfort throughout their salon experience. Stay updated on the latest hair care trends and techniques to enhance skills and contribute to the team's overall expertise. Adopt the unique, diverse, and exceptional best practices of the salon.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Relevant hairdressing certification is an advantage. At least 1-year experience as a Hair Assistant or similar role in a salon environment. Strong communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of basic haircare and styling techniques. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced salon environment. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Positive attitude, team player, and willingness to learn and grow in the beauty industry.

KEY DELIVERABLES:

Assist stylists during services, ensuring that clients are happy and relaxed throughout their visit. Assist clients with understanding basic hair care needs and guide them in purchasing recommended products. Ensure a clean and organized work area, maintaining salon cleanliness and hygiene standards.
