Job Description

The Halal Executive will oversee full compliance with JAKIM/JAIN halal standards, handle key authority engagements and support halal certification maintenance and growth.

Key Responsibilities:



1.

Halal Certification & Compliance

- Apply, renew, and maintain JAKIM Halal Certification for products, outlets, or manufacturing facilities.- Ensure all ingredients, raw materials, suppliers, and processes comply with Halal requirements.- Keep updated with Halal regulations, standards and guidelines.

2.

Halal Assurance System (HAS)

- Develop, implement, and monitor the Halal Assurance Systems in the company.- Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance.- Prepare reports for JAKIM or certification audits.

3.

Liaison & Coordination

- Act as the main liason officer between the company and JAKIM / State Religious Authorities.- Coordinate with suppliers, purchasing, and production teams on Halal-related issues.

4.

Training & Awareness

- Conduct Halal awareness training for staff.- Ensure employees understand and follow Halal policies and SOPs.

5.

Documentation & Record-Keeping

- Maintain proper documentation of Halal certificates, supplier declarations, ingredient lists, audit reports.- Update and submit required documents for Halal certification applications.

6.

Other Supportive Roles

- Assist QA/QC departments in ensuring food safety and hygiene.- Monitor halal logo usage to avoid misuse.- Report any non-compliance or critical issues to management and authorities.

Research & Development



1. Conduct in-depth research and development of new products and formulations

2. Provide technical expertise in the development of new products and improvements to existing ones.

3. Resolve technical issues during product development, including production, operations, and performance challenges.

4. Manage a portfolio of R&D projects focused on new and innovative technologies, including raw materials, ingredients, equipment, packaging, and processes.

Requirements:



Degree in Halal Management, Food Science, Food Technology, Islamic Studies, or related field.

Halal Executive Certificate (from JAKIM/INHART/JAIN/recognized institutions).

Program recognized by the Halal Professional Board (HPB).

Certified Internal Halal Auditor Program recognized by the Halal Professional Board (HPB).

Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, ISO standards, and Halal certification processes.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
