Job Description

Position Overview



The Halal Executive will be responsible for leading and managing the company's Halal

certification process for the first time, ensuring all fast-food outlets and supply chain operations

comply with Malaysian Halal standards as stipulated by JAKIM (Department of Islamic

Development Malaysia) and other relevant authorities. This role will also oversee the

development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company's Halal Assurance

System (HAS) and ensure ongoing compliance after certification is obtained.

Key Responsibilities



1. Halal Certification Process

Lead and coordinate the company's first-time Halal certification application with JAKIM or relevant authorities. Prepare, submit, and maintain all required documents and records. Act as the main liaison with JAKIM, suppliers, and internal teams on Halal matters.
2. Halal Compliance Management

Develop and implement Halal policies, procedures, and control points across operations. Verify all ingredients, raw materials, and suppliers for Halal compliance. Conduct regular internal checks and audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
3. Training & Awareness

Plan and deliver Halal awareness and handling training for staff at all outlets. Ensure employees follow correct Halal practices in food handling, preparation, and storage.
4. Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

Keep updated with the latest Halal standards and regulations. Work with management to address non-compliance issues and improve processes. Ensure timely renewal of Halal certificates and supplier approvals.

Qualifications & Requirements



Education & Experience

? Diploma/Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Halal Management, or related field.

? Certified Halal Executive by JAKIM.

? Experience in Halal compliance, food safety (HACCP, ISO, etc), or quality assurance

preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

? Good understanding of MS 1500:2019 (Halal Food - General Requirements) and other

relevant Halal standards.

? Knowledge of food production processes and supply chain management.

? Strong communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

? Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.

? Able to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Other Requirements:

? Muslim candidate preferred (as required for certain Halal verification duties).

? Willing to travel to outlets, suppliers, and JAKIM offices when required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
