Plan and schedule transportation routes for prime movers to ensure timely delivery of containers, cost efficiency, fuel savings and on-time deliveries.
Monitor the progress of shipments and deliveries.
Use software systems or tracking tools to track deliveries in real-time.
Communicate with drivers to provide instructions, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to schedules.
Schedule prime movers maintenance and repairs to prevent breakdowns and delays.
Maintain records of vehicle inspections and servicing.
Address any logistical problems or delays that arise during transportation.
Ensure drivers comply with safety regulations, company policies, and road laws.
Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
Handle customer complaints or inquiries related to delivery times, damages, or discrepancies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Good communication skills (both verbal and written).
Ability to multitask and solve problems quickly.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Basic knowledge of transportation regulations and industry standards.
Familiarity with GPS systems or fleet tracking software.
