This role will architect and implement a
standardised, independent testing framework
, uplift testing maturity, strengthen governance, optimise testing resources, and ensure consistent best practices across all technology domains.
You will collaborate closely with development teams, project managers, QA leads, and senior stakeholders to create a unified testing strategy that accelerates delivery, reduces production defects, and improves system stability.
Key Responsibilities1. Central Testing Strategy & Governance
Design and implement an enterprise-wide Central Test Facility framework.
Establish testing governance, standards, policies and best practices across all technology units.
Ensure independence of testing functions to enhance quality assurance and risk visibility.
Drive organisation-wide adoption of consistent testing methodologies (functional, non-functional, automation, regression, performance, etc.).
Standardise test execution, reporting, and sign-off processes.
2. Test Operations Leadership
Lead, manage and develop the Central Test Facility team.
Oversee test planning, test case design, execution, defect management, and quality reporting.
Build, maintain and continuously improve test environments and tools.
Prioritise testing activities across multiple projects to optimise resource utilisation.
Ensure test deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
3. Quality Engineering & Automation
Drive implementation of automation frameworks to accelerate regression and continuous testing.
Promote adoption of modern testing tools, DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automated quality gates.
Strengthen performance testing, security testing and resiliency testing capabilities.
Ensure test coverage aligns with risk appetite and compliance standards.
4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Work closely with developers, project managers, business analysts and technology leads.
Ensure testing is aligned with project objectives, timelines and resource constraints.
Provide clear communication on testing outcomes, risks, defects and readiness for go-live.
Represent the CTF in governance forums, project meetings and senior management discussions.
5. Continuous Improvement
Monitor test effectiveness, efficiency and defect metrics across teams.
Identify gaps in current test practices and drive continuous improvement programs.
Transition project teams from decentralised testing models to a structured centralised testing approach.
Benchmark industry best practices to uplift organisation-wide testing maturity.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience (10+ years) in
software testing
, QA leadership, or Quality Engineering.
Prior experience setting up or managing a centralised testing function is highly preferred.
Deep understanding of testing methodologies: functional, automation, performance, UAT, regression, API testing, non-functional testing.
Strong leadership background managing medium to large QA teams.
Experience working in complex technology environments (e.g., digital banking, enterprise systems, cloud, core applications).
Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Selenium, JMeter, Postman, TestRail, JIRA, CI/CD test pipelines, etc.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and risk assessment skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
Certifications such as
ISTQB, CSTE, Agile, Scrum
are an advantage.
