Key Responsibilities
Plan and prepare daily
menus
based on approved menu rotation
Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portioning, and cooking standards
Oversee kitchen preparation from early morning prep until lunch service
Ensure all dishes are ready on time for daily service
Control food cost, raw material usage, and portion control
Minimize food wastage and manage leftover handling properly
Manage ordering, receiving, and inventory of wet and dry kitchen supplies
Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards at all times
Ensure compliance with kitchen SOPs and food safety regulations
Supervise, train, and discipline kitchen staff (cooks, helpers, prep staff)
Prepare duty rosters and manage kitchen manpower efficiently
Handle kitchen issues and food-related complaints promptly
Report kitchen performance, costs, and improvement suggestions to management
Requirements
Proven experience as a
Head Chef / Senior Chef
Minimum
3-5 years
experience in commercial kitchen
Strong leadership and kitchen management skills
Able to work
6 days a week (including Saturday & Sunday)
Physically fit and able to work under pressure
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
Responsible, disciplined, and punctual
