Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced

Head Chef

to lead our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, possess strong leadership skills, and ensure that every dish leaving the kitchen meets our high standards of taste, quality, and presentation. This role is responsible for menu development, kitchen staff supervision, inventory management, and maintaining health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and refine cafe menus that align with Kosa Coffee's brand, customer preferences, and market trends. Oversee recipe development with a focus on taste, presentation, consistency, and cost control. Lead and manage all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and hygiene. Supervise food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency across all dishes. Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, Halal, and health regulations. Train, guide, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain efficiency and skill development. Plan kitchen schedules and workflow to support daily operations and peak hours. Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste and control food costs. Work closely with procurement to source quality ingredients at competitive prices. Conduct regular quality checks, tastings, and kitchen inspections. Monitor portion control and plating standards to maintain brand consistency.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Professional Cookery, or related field. Certification in Food Safety, HACCP, or Halal compliance is an added advantage. Minimum

4-6 years of culinary experience

, with at least

3 years in a supervisory or Head Chef role

, preferably in cafes, casual dining, or reputable F&B establishments. Strong leadership, organisational, and cost-control skills. Passion for food quality, consistency, and continuous improvement.
