Requirements

  • Associate degree in culinary or equivalent with more than 5 years' experience in role that requires to manage subordinates.
  • Significant experience as a chef, in addition to experience as a sous chef or line cook.
  • Have at least 5 years' experience in food industry and familiar of FSSC 22000, Safety Health and Environment and Halal requirement.
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and machine/equipment's life optimization an added advantage
  • Strong analytical and creative person.
  • Medically fit without any physical disability
  • Working on Weekends, Public Holiday, Shift in the interest of the Company / Business
  • Able to work long hours should the need arises to complete any tasks assigned
Responsibilities
  • To direct and coordinate the activities of the recipe creation of sushi/delica product as per requested by management or external customer.
  • To fulfill internal and external customer satisfaction and to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI) set by the superiors.
  • Determine production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of services. Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards
  • Instruct cooks and other workers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food
  • Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation.
  • Collaborate with other personnel to plan and develop recipes and menus, taking into account such factors as seasonal availability of ingredients and the likely number of customers.
  • Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met. Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff.
  • Continuously to improve methods, effectiveness and resource utilization and critically review and monitor results.
  • Any other related jobs/tasks as deemed suitable from the management related to the department/factory KPI achievements.
