Job Description

Our Client is looking for a Head of Dangerous Goods within the transport & distribution industry, focusing on strategizing and managing the distribution of temperature-sensitive products. This role requires a skilled professional to drive business growth while ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer satisfaction.
Internal Knowledge Transfer: Design and lead mandatory expertise sessions, functioning as the chief internal knowledge architect for all security-sensitive business protocols across the region.
Strategic Regulatory Navigation: Act as the primary high-level liaison the official "front door" to governmental bodies and local authorities to proactively de-risk, troubleshoot, and smooth out the processes for key complex operations.
Market Activation & Capture: Aggressively scout and define new revenue streams across both private and government defence segments in every APAC country, translating market analysis into executable capture plans.
Commercial P&L Ownership: Take full accountability for the financial health of the sector, which includes setting regional and country-specific budgets, establishing competitive pricing architecture, and delivering on sales targets.
Executive Coordination & Reporting: Serve as the regional control tower and final escalation point, providing swift strategic steering and delivering consolidated performance intelligence reports to senior leadership.
Local Team Enablement: Build the in-country capacity by onboarding, educating, and equipping local operations and commercial teams to independently manage highly specialized military logistics requirements.
Regional Alignment: Function as the central nexus point for all stakeholders, ensuring seamless, standardized operational flow by coordinating effectively with regional business leaders and external partners.
International Exposure Pioneer of the team
Experience: Possesses a minimum of five years of demonstrated operational leadership within the global shipping domain. An engineer or marine engineer background would assist you in the role
Advanced Education: A Bachelors in Engineering or Marine Engineering Graduate-level credential from a distinguished Military Academy or a leading Business School.
Commitment to Mobility: Full commitment to extensive regional mobilization (approx. one week per month) with frequent anchor visits to the Singapore.
Strategic Risk Expertise: Proven ability to engage in high-stakes risk mitigation and orchestrate complex multi-faceted program delivery.
Executive Communication: Exceptional skill in distilling highly complex technical or commercial issues into clear, actionable executive summaries for senior leadership.
Organizational Navigator: Track record of driving results by leading intricate, cross-functional initiatives across geographically dispersed teams and stakeholder groups.
