Job Description

The Head of Engineering (Automation) will ensure operational efficiency, compliance and continuous improvement. This role is central to the organization's transformation journey, with plans to expand automation and internal capabilities over the next two years.

• Build and lead multidisciplinary engineering team (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation Controls and Facilities)
• Mentor the engineering teams to foster innovation and technical excellence
• Oversee engineering resource planning, budget and project timelines
• Oversee the maintenance and optimization of equipment and systems.
• Deployment and maintenance of automation systems (eg; robotics, PLCs and control system)
• Develop long term automation roadmaps aligned with business goals
• Develop and implement technical strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site
• Implement lean engineering practices & Six Sigma methodologies
• Ensure seamless integration of automation systems with ERP, WMS and MES platforms
• Oversee data analytics and reporting tools to monitor system performance and KPIs
• Ensure all engineering & automation systems comply with safety, environmental and regulatory standards

A successful Engineering Manager should have:

• Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related)
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, SCADA and industrial control systems
• Proven track record in implementing large-scale automation projects (eg; ASRS, robotics and etc)
• Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience in optimizing manufacturing processes and systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
