St Joseph\xe2\x80\x99s Institution International School Malaysia (SJIIM) is a Lasallian International School (3 to 18 years). It prepares students for the IGCSE and IB Diploma Programme examinations with an emphasis upon research-based teaching pedagogy and a character-building programme of activities inspired by the school\xe2\x80\x99s Lasallian heritage. This includes service learning initiatives, and a holistic approach to sport, music and the arts. SJIIM is seeking an outstanding and inspirational Head of English, whose passion and experience will transform the outcomes of our students. Requirements: We are looking for a committed, passionate and knowledgeable professional who will work proactively to ensure the best possible teaching of English. Prior experience in teaching IGCSE and IBDP/A Level English is preferred. Responsibility:

• Oversee pedagogical practices and classroom management within the department to ensure high quality teaching and learning occurs. This will include modeling excellent teaching practices to other staff within the department
• To promote the Lasallian Mission and Core Values of SJII Malaysia
• Ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reports meet the expectations of the school
• To actively contribute to wider school development and growth
• Demonstrate thorough curriculum knowledge and support the continued development of the mathematics curriculum
• Demonstrate a proactive approach towards professional development
