Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Head of Finance to lead our financial operations and drive the company\'s growth. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with a strong retail finance background who can manage complex financial matters, oversee team dynamics, raise funds, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:

• Lead the full spectrum of finance, accounting, and tax matters, including developing financial policies, processes, and controls that are efficient, effective, and aligned with best practices.
• Inspire and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring clear communication across all departments. Ability to lead through influence and manage diverse teams under dynamic conditions.
• Strategize and execute fundraising efforts, manage investor relations, and drive effective cash management.
• Oversee cash flow projections and conduct feasibility studies for new business developments, ensuring alignment with company growth targets in existing and new markets.
• Navigate challenging situations with composure and adaptability, providing clear financial direction even in chaotic scenarios.
• Research revenue opportunities, identify cost-reduction strategies, and monitor performance against both internal targets and external benchmarks. Make timely interventions to improve efficiency.
• Work closely with other department heads to achieve company objectives, providing insights on high-level policy, strategy, and financial decisions.
• Ensure compliance with all financial, legal, and regulatory requirements. Oversee risk management processes, including liability assessments and capital structure analysis.
• Spearhead the implementation of ERP systems and play a key role in IPO projects, guiding the company through transformative financial processes.

Requirements:

• Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy or a full Professional Qualification (ACCA/MIA/CPA) is required.
• Demonstrated track record of strong leadership with a focus on people management, team development, and creating a positive work environment.
• Proven experience in finance operations within a retail environment, understanding the unique financial challenges and opportunities in this sector.
• Experience in fundraising and managing complex capital structures is a must.
• Ability to lead during challenging times, manage stress, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment while keeping teams focused and aligned.
• Experience working across multiple regions or globally will be an added advantage.
• A detail-oriented individual who is not afraid to get hands-on, meet tight deadlines, and ensure the smooth operation of financial functions.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and successful participation in IPO projects is highly preferred.
