Role Overview
This position blends strategic leadership with hands-on operational excellence in IT. You will be responsible for overseeing the organisation's entire IT function, ensuring technology initiatives align with business objectives while driving innovation, reliability, and scalability across all systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic IT Leadership

• Define and implement the IT strategy in line with organisational goals.
• Lead digital transformation programs and technology roadmaps.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities for technology-driven growth.

Operational Oversight

• Manage day-to-day IT operations including infrastructure, networks, and service delivery.
• Monitor system performance, uptime, and security across platforms.
• Ensure compliance with IT standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Team & Vendor Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop IT teams, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Serve as Level 3 escalation for complex technical issues.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for hardware, software, and services.

Project & Task Management

• Drive execution of IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
• Maintain active task boards to track progress and ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer across teams.

Risk & Incident Management

• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Lead incident response and conduct root cause analysis for critical IT issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven track record in IT leadership and operations management.
• Strong expertise in enterprise infrastructure, cloud services, and cybersecurity.
• Ability to transition seamlessly between leadership and hands-on support.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities.
• Skilled in vendor negotiation and contract management.
• Knowledge of IT governance and compliance frameworks.
