Job Description

Job responsibility :

1. Strategic Leadership & Department Management



? Formulate and implement logistics strategies, policies, and SOPs to align with organisational goals.

? Establish department KPIs and ensure consistent achievement of operational and financial targets.

? Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics team, cultivating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

? Provide expert advice to management on logistics capabilities, risk mitigation, and operational planning.

2. Warehouse & Inventory Governance



? Oversee end-to-end warehouse operations including receiving, storage, material handling, inventory control, picking, and dispatch.

? Ensure inventory accuracy through robust stock control systems, cycle counts, and audit compliance.

? Optimise warehouse space utilisation, workflow design, equipment usage, and safety practices.

? Ensure adherence to quality standards, ISO requirements, and proper documentation for audit trails.

3. Logistics & Distribution Management



? Plan, coordinate, and oversee distribution activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

? Develop and manage transport schedules, route optimisation, and fleet performance.

? Evaluate and negotiate with transport service providers and 3PL vendors to ensure competitive pricing and reliable performance.

? Monitor delivery performance, customer satisfaction, and complaint resolution.

4. Compliance, Risk Management & Process Excellence



? Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate service quality.

? Ensure all logistics operations comply with relevant laws, industrial guidelines, safety regulations (OSH), and company policies.

? Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

? Ensure effective documentation, reporting, and regulatory compliance across all logistics functions.

5. Financial & Resource Management



? Develop and manage departmental budgets including manpower, warehousing, and transportation costs.

? Monitor cost efficiency and implement cost-control measures without compromising service levels.

? Oversee resource allocation, equipment utilisation, and procurement of logistics-related assets.

QUALIFICATIONS:



1. Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

2. Professional certifications (e.g., SCPro, CSCP, Lean Six Sigma) are an added advantage.

PREFERRED SKILLS:



? Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and people development skills.

? Advanced understanding of logistics, warehouse management systems (WMS/ERP), and supply chain processes.

? Strong analytical and decision-making ability, with proven experience in operational improvements.

? High proficiency in communication, reporting, and cross-functional coordination.

? Strong commitment to integrity, safety, and compliance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
