Why this role?

Lead the business development and Offer management of the Major Project Business in South-East Asia (including New Equipment, Modernization and Service Business). Develop and implement KONE\xe2\x80\x99s Major Project Business strategy and develop country specific action plans to achieve short- and long-term business goals. Execute business development initiatives with a focus on customer-centricity, competitive position, market share and profitability. Work closely with the Delivery Operations team and the Global & Area Major Project teams to ensure customer satisfaction and profitable growth.

What will you be doing?

Safety and Quality

  • Proactively support outstanding performance in Safety and Quality in the Major Project Business
  • Ensure relevant policies are deployed and used.
Customers
  • Drive and promote a customer-centric culture with outside-in thinking. Develop a strong understanding of the customer and market needs. Drive early customer engagement with a consultative selling approach.
  • Ensure the voice of the customer is reflected throughout the business.
Business performance
  • Holistic understanding, accountability and development of the Major Project Business competitiveness, trends, growth and profitability.
  • Evaluate the results of the Major Project Business activity, tenders, contracts. Identify recurring problems and take corrective actions.
  • Set up SEA level management practices that drive an increase in share of market, growth, profitability, pricing and improved contract profitability performance.
  • Prepare recommendations and provide feedback to the Area on any proposed changes to the product portfolio and KONE Way operating model elements (i.e., processes, roles, organization, IT tools, data, governance, business performance management) to improve performance.
  • Collaborate with the in country Managing Director as well as other functions such as operations to develop and achieve targets and close gaps across the frontline.
  • Set SEA Major Projects targets together with New Equipment, Modernization and Service Business Directors, help in developing robust SEA budget plans, continuously monitor financial performance and report results.
  • Drive short and long-term competitiveness based on global and Area Major Project strategy.
  • Lead the Deployment of Global and Area strategic programs, initiatives and KONE way practices as relevant to Major Projects.
Business development
  • Drive the Major Project Business sales, offering development and go-to-market actions of new Offers in collaboration with other business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Area and Global colleagues for best practice sharing.
  • Ensure compliance with business operating model and effective deployment of KONE Way (KW) initiatives. Monitor SEA countries compliance and act upon gaps or development needs. Give KW feedback back to the global organization.
Leadership / People management
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at the executive level to develop and implement a strategy for New Equipment, Modernization, and Service Businesses that is aligned with the organization\xe2\x80\x99s overall vision and its current and long-term business objectives
  • Lead, evaluate, and develop the Major Projects team members
  • Identify competence gaps and training needs in order to fulfil the business plan.
Are you the one?
  • With at least 5 years of regional (SEA) experience in building sector with leadership responsibility.
  • Ability to motivate, lead and guide team members effectively.
  • Able to work collaboratively in culturally diverse environment
  • Experience in managing business performance in the building, vertical transport, construction or relevant B2B environment.
  • Sound understanding of the market and customers\xe2\x80\x99 business
  • Solid experience in sales management and customer relationship management,
  • Good appreciation of the end-to-end process for major project business and its related profitability drivers
  • Self-driven and result orientated mindset
