Principal Responsibilities

  • To be a strategic member of the Global Manufacturing team with specific responsibility for
  • All Manufacturing sites in APAC.
  • Locations include Malaysia, China, India and other locations as the business requires.
  • Lead a diverse group of people from multiple cultures by sustaining a safe and an inclusive and empowered organization which is constantly developing and adapting to the current and emerging business needs.
  • Actively drives key talent development through coaching, mentoring, development assignments and other formal / informal actions and systems.
  • Continuous and unrelenting focus on improving our people, systems, processes to deliver a lean manufacturing organization that is embedded in our Global Operations Ssupply Cchain.
  • Ensuring the focus of every employee is on, and the systems necessary are in place, to deliver the highest product and service quality standards to all our customers and their patients in a consistent manner.
  • Ensure that necessary legal, regulatory and corporate compliance systems are in place and adhered to.
  • Maintaining and improving the systems to ensure that our products are available to our customers on time and in full to meet all their needs.
  • Constantly delivering improved value for all stake holders by driving and developing a culture of excellence through continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement cost control measures, cost estimates, manpower and equipment forecasts and annual operating budgets.
  • Ensure that APAC manufacturing is focused on achieving and improving upon defined key performance indicators (KPI) for all the above
  • Define and recommend goals and objectives in each area of APAC Manufacturing. Develop specific short-term and long-term plans and programs, together with supporting budgets.
  • Provide support and participate in strategy development and implementation with other functions within Global Supply Chain and the wider company.
Education / Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years leadership experience at a senior level in an operations environment involving manufacturing, logistics and distribution - Ideally within the Medical Device Industry.
  • A Degree in Engineering, Business or related field is a minimum requirement, MBA is desirable.
  • Extensive Project Management skills and experience
  • Extensive experience in a matrix management organization is a must.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a requirement.
  • Must be fluent in English (Native or bilingual proficiency)
