Job Description

The Head of Project Sales will oversee and drive strategic sales initiatives within the building materials industry, managing project sales operations to achieve business growth. This role requires a strong leader with expertise in sales strategies and project management, based at Petaling Jaya.

  • Lead and drive growth within the commercial and industrial segments by overseeing the full product portfolio and guiding the project sales team.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans aimed at securing product specifications and winning high-value, large-scale projects.
  • Manage and mentor a team of sales professionals, fostering alignment with business goals and supporting individual career development.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders including consultants, contractors, developers, architects, and other decision-makers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, technical, and operations teams to deliver comprehensive, client-focused solutions.
  • Track market dynamics including trends, project pipelines, and competitor activities to proactively identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Oversee tender submissions, proposals, and contract negotiations for strategic projects, ensuring competitive positioning and compliance.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales performance, forecasts, and market intelligence to senior leadership.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of proven success in project sales within the building materials, construction, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience managing and developing a team of three or more sales professionals.
  • A well-established network of industry contacts including consultants, architects, and developers is a strong advantage.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strategic and commercially minded, with a track record of closing large-scale project deals.
  • Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and adaptable to a fast-paced, project-oriented environment.
