Why does this job exist and why is it critical To ensure the organisation always be ahead in terms of network leadership in anticipation of industry trends, emerging new technologies, capabilities, solutions in areas of Radio Network and Spectrum Strategy. Lead team to own and drive development of Radio Network and Spectrum Strategy to ensure organisation has the optimum technology at the right time and at the right place. Lead a team to develop Radio Network and Spectrum roadmap and architecture to support integrated service/business requirements., automation/programmable network, cost-efficiency, differentiation of customer experience etc. What are you accountable for Lead, own and drive technology strategy of Radio Network and Spectrum Strategy domains to deliver feasibility study, assessment, & development of emerging technologies to support mid-long term integrated business requirements Lead and drive development of mid/long-term Radio Network and Spectrum technologies roadmap, capabilities and options to ensure Maxis technology leadership. Drive strategy roadmap decision and budget for Long Range Plan Lead team on development of new technology, network scenario cost modelling, spectrum modeling for business cases, specifications, undertake evaluations and conduct technology trials/PoC of promising technology to assess its capabilities and provide recommendation, drive decision to investment committee for next step on RFX or first node implementation Lead team to work with Business to jointly explore/develop potential use cases with emerging/new technologies for Enterprise/Consumer/Sales & Services to improve customer experience, new solution etc. Lead team to track new/emerging technologies & industry/market trends/ecosystem/standards to identify new growth opportunities and threats (including network security) to the business. Lead team on the development of tender specifications ie RFI / RFT and subsequent evaluation for new technology and bring into business as usual if approved Lead document/review/revision of planning rules/policies to improve cost-effectiveness, customer experience, maintain network leadership Technical lead for relevant regulatory/MCMC & industry workgroup to protect Maxis\' interest and/or influence/lobby for favourable business outcome for Maxis What do you need to have for this role Expertise in network strategy/technology solution/planning of new/emerging radio, core, transport technologies and spectrum development/assessment/roadmap/strategy Diversity of experience across local/international, operator and vendor community Broad strategic and strong business and customer focus, with extensive experience in network radio, core, transport technology/spectrum Experienced in cost/network modelling and techno-commercial analysis in fixed and mobile networks Able to lead cross-functional teams to facilitate collaboration with different people, teams, inside/outside of organisation. Excellent communication, presentation, writing skills necessary to convey network technology/roadmap/strategies/recommendations to SLT, CxO or Board Level Good management, people management and leadership skills to drive team with diverse backgrounds and skill sets/technical expertise for high performance culture.
