The Head of Sales is responsible for leading the hotel's sales department, developing and executing sales strategies to maximize revenue, increase market share, and enhance customer satisfaction. This role involves overseeing corporate, group, MICE (Meeting, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), and leisure sales, while managing a high-performing sales team.
Responsibilities :
Report directly to General Manager.
1. Develop and implements strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
2. Creates sales and targets and networks business relations with corporate, travel agent and government clients.
3. Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online electronic media, and direct email.
4. Be aware of the strengths and weaknesses of our competitors in order to maximize success in selling against them and their pricing policies and special promotions.
5. Help identify accounts with maximum profitability for intense solicitation as well as others in the same industry with similar potential.
6. Develops and manages sales/marketing operating budgets.
7. Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.
8. To make sure all agreements with or requirements of accounts booked by a representative of the hotel are carried out prior to, during and following a group's stay in the hotel.
9. Ensures effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets.
10. To make a brief presentation at least once a month during the sales meeting to bring all members of the staff up to date on her/his field of activities/market place.
11. Establish and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
12. Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
13. Directs staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs.
14. Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales and areas of proposed client base expansion.
15. Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.
