Job Description

The role of Head of Division - Power for our Financial Services client involves leading and managing sector-specific strategies for clients within the Power & Renewable Energy sectors. This position is based in KL and requires expertise in the Energy & Power sectors to drive impactful business outcomes.

• Develop and execute sector-specific strategies to achieve business growth in the power sector, including identifying strategic opportunities in major Energy initiatives to position our client as a market leader, primarily through the development of financing solutions & partnerships.
• Originate, structure and manage transactions within the industry including sustainable project financing, ESG investments & corporate lending solutions.
• Lead and manage client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the organisations footprint in the power sector.
• Collaborate with internal teams to structure and deliver innovative financial solutions.
• Monitor market trends and provide insights to optimise sector performance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Prepare and present sector performance reports to senior management.
• Mentor and guide team members to achieve their professional goals.

The successful candidate should have:

• A strong academic background, preferably in finance, business, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in the Energy & Power sector in Malaysia / or across the region
• Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and results-driven environment.
