It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Head of Talent Acquisition, Malaysia.

Principal responsibilities

Oversee the delivery of Recruitment across all segments, which include Executive, Specialist, Graduate and Interns, and Volume.

Oversee the implementation of HSBCs Resourcing strategy and ensure all execution is aligned to the strategy.

Manage an operational resourcing service delivering end to end hires, and to indirectly manage the delivery of hires through liaison with HR Operations.

Oversee university relations strategy and Employee Value Proposition both internally and externally positioning solid brand name of HSBC.

Responsible for the recruitment support unit to ensure a seamless onboarding process and best in class experience for new joiners.

Oversee the implementation of a highly commercial resourcing operational platform that maximizes candidate and hiring manager experience, aligned to HSBC brand values whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory, audit and legislative requirements and operational excellence.

Manage multiple internal and external stakeholder relationships including regulator/agencies such as Bank Negara, Talent Corp, SOCSO, Ministry of HR etc.

Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, HSBC policies and business processes including work rights for non-Malaysian workforce

Ensure accurate data is tracked in the Applicant Tracking System for real time data to be provided to senior management.

Adaptability to new and ambiguous environments, changing business needs and operating models.

Leading a diverse team with coaching and career curation strategy supporting a work life integration

Lead strategic workforce demand plan jointly with other critical stakeholders to ensure we are proactively focused on Future of Work and key member of talent forum for the right skills, at the right time and place.

Maintain and observe HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal or external auditors, and external regulators.

Foster a compliance culture and implement Group Compliance Policy by managing compliance risk in liaison with the Head of Group Compliance, Regional Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources are in place and training is provided, and optimising relations with regulators.

Requirements

Strong Recruitment experience from in house, staff augmented, RPO or agency environments.

Track record of working in partnership with hiring managers and other HR colleagues in a highly matrix environment with focus on deliverables and metrics,

Experience in producing recruitment MI and using an Applicant Tracking System.

Experience in working with outsourced vendors, with ability to lead, enhance delivery and build trusted relationships.

Thorough understanding of resourcing and recruitment, including tools, techniques and methodologies used for demand and workforce planning, and strong attention to detail.

Excellent knowledge of the recruitment market and well networked across the sector.

The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
