1.To plan and develop for the implementation and administration of safety and health policies and practices to meet legal requirements.
2. To liaise with external government officers and authorities in related to ESH matters and to ensure policies and regulation are meet their requirement.
3. Conduct regular workplace inspection and audits to identify and rectify unsafe acts and conditions.
4. Serve as secretary in Safety and Health Committee, including preparing meeting material, follow up action and to update record keeping.
5. Assist in arranging development and execution of emergency response drills (e.g fire drill, chemical spills, flood)
6. Develop, review and implementation of Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Determining Control (HIRARC), Safe Work Procedure (SWP) and Permit to Work (PTW) system.
7. To investigate, analyse, make recommendation, and maintain reports of industrial incidents / accidents or work hazards to determine causes and propose for preventive measures.
8. To perform factory inspection and co-ordinate to ensure update of all DOSH machineries inspection schedule.
9. To conduct EHS induction training for new employees and contractor, and delivery regular toolbox talks and specific safety training.
10. To manage all aspect of Schedule Waste (SW) including maintaining records in E-SWIS system (DOE).
11. Monitor, report preparation and ensure compliance with industrial effluent discharge standard, air emission regulation.
