Nestled near the Porcupine Hills, Claresholm is a small, tight knit community close to many outdoor activities including fishing, hiking, and camping. The Health Care Aide (HCA) provides patient care services as an unregulated worker under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The primary duties include: performing tasks related to activities of daily living, deescalting residents, working as a team, and ensuring comfort and safety of the patient at all times. As a Health Care Aide (HCA), you are responsible for providing personal assistance, supporting activities of daily living and providing comfort and support services to patients (clients, residents) who require short-term assistance or ongoing support. You will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers spanning the continuum of care in home, community or health care facilities. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. Additional Required Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with patients and families in stressful situations necessary. Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills within a team setting. Maintains a standard of high quality care, self-directed and motivated. Demonstrates a caring attitude towards patients and families, ability to relate to clients in a caring manner with respect and dignity.
