About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled

Automation Tester

with over 5 years of hands-on experience in test automation, preferably within the banking and financial services domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our applications, with a strong focus on scalability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust automation test scripts for web, API, and mobile applications. Collaborate with QA leads, developers, and business analysts to understand requirements and define test strategies. Implement automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, Cypress, Playwright, etc.). Perform API automation testing using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or SoapUI. Ensure automation coverage across functional, regression, and integration testing. Conduct root cause analysis of defects and provide detailed defect reports. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.). Work closely with stakeholders in the banking domain to validate test cases against business requirements. Mentor junior testers and provide guidance on best practices in automation testing. Continuously evaluate new automation tools, frameworks, and techniques to improve testing efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of proven experience in

automation testing

. Strong knowledge of

test automation frameworks

(Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, Playwright). Hands-on experience with

API automation

(Rest Assured, Postman, SoapUI). Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#). Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, etc.). Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies. Strong knowledge of

banking or financial applications

(Payments, Loans, Core Banking, Digital Channels, etc.). Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in

performance testing tools

(JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus. Knowledge of cloud testing (AWS, Azure, or GCP) environments. Exposure to containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes). ISTQB or similar QA certifications.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM11,500.00 per month
