Job Description

The

Homestay Operator

is responsible for the overall successful management, operation, and guest experience of the homestay unit(s)

based in Kuala Lumpur (KL)

. This role requires a blend of excellent customer service, meticulous organizational skills, proactive maintenance and strategic marketing to maximise occupancy and revenue while ensuring outstanding guest satisfaction.

1. Online Listing & Platform Management


Manage and update listings on Airbnb, Booking.com, Agoda and other OTA platforms. Ensure all information, photos, pricing and calendars are accurate and attractive.

2. Guest Communication & Booking Management


Handle guest enquiries, bookings, changes and cancellations. Arrange smooth check-in and check-out, and serve as the main contact for guests throughout their stay.

3. Property Maintenance & Quality Control


Ensure the homestay unit is always clean and well-maintained. Coordinate cleaning services, restock amenities, arrange repairs and conduct regular inspections.

4. Administrative & Financial Reporting


Prepare daily occupancy and revenue updates. Track expenses and adjust pricing based on market demand and local events.

5. Emergency Handling


Respond quickly to urgent matters such as last-minute bookings, lockouts, power trips or sudden repair needs.

6. Business Development & Revenue Growth


Monitor market trends, identify opportunities to increase occupancy, work with corporate clients and explore new income streams.

7. Marketing & Reputation Management


Manage social media pages, support basic marketing activities, encourage guests to leave reviews and professionally handle online feedback.

8. Long-Term Rental Management


Promote long-term rental units, manage tenancy agreements, collect monthly rent, handle tenant requests and oversee renewals and move-out processes.

Availability: Must be able to handle flexible hours and be available for emergency calls outside of standard business hours (including evenings and weekends).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
