Job Description

Job Title: E-Commerce & Social Media Manager (Hotel Industry)Position Overview



The E-Commerce & Social Media Manager is responsible for driving the hotel's online revenue growth, brand visibility, and digital presence. This role manages all e-commerce platforms, digital marketing activities, and end-to-end social media strategy. The manager ensures consistent brand messaging across online channels, optimizes digital sales performance, and enhances guest engagement.

Key ResponsibilitiesE-Commerce Management



Oversee all online distribution channels including hotel website, OTAs, metasearch, and booking engines. Monitor and manage room inventory, pricing strategies, and promotions in collaboration with the Revenue Manager. Optimize website content, user experience, and conversion rates to maximize direct bookings. Implement digital campaigns to increase online visibility and revenue performance. Track online performance metrics (traffic, conversion, ROI) and prepare regular reports. Coordinate with third-party partners (OTAs, digital agencies, influencers, tech vendors).

Social Media Management



Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.). Create, schedule, and publish engaging content, including photos, videos, and stories. Manage community interactions: responding to comments, messages, and guest inquiries. Run paid social media ads to boost reach, engagement, and conversions. Monitor social media analytics and adjust strategies based on performance. Maintain a cohesive brand voice and visual identity across all digital channels.

Digital Marketing & Content



Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns (SEO, SEM, display ads, email marketing). Coordinate content creation including photography, videography, and copywriting for promotions and brand storytelling. Ensure all digital assets align with hotel brand standards and marketing guidelines. Collaborate with F&B, Rooms, and Events teams to promote offers and seasonal campaigns online.

Analytics & Reporting



Track key KPIs including online revenue, ADR, conversion rates, social engagement, and campaign ROI. Present insights to management and propose strategic improvements. Conduct competitor analysis and industry benchmarking.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Marketing, E-Commerce, Hospitality Management, or related field. 2-5 years experience in hotel e-commerce, digital marketing, or social media management. Strong understanding of OTA extranets, PMS, CRS, RMS, and channel managers. Proficient in social media management tools (Meta Business Suite, TikTok Ads, Hootsuite, etc.) and analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Meta Insights). Excellent communication, creativity, and storytelling skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,480.99 - RM4,346.74 per month
