is responsible for generating revenue through event bookings, banquets, meetings, and social functions. This role involves developing strong client relationships, managing the entire event sales process -- from inquiry to post-event follow-up -- and ensuring high guest satisfaction through exceptional service and attention to detail. The position requires both strategic sales planning and hands-on event coordination.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
Identify, develop, and secure new
event, banquet, and catering business
from corporate, government, social, and wedding segments.
Achieve and exceed
monthly and annual sales targets
for banquet and catering revenue.
Prepare and present
sales proposals, quotations, and contracts
to clients in a timely manner.
Maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients through regular follow-ups and networking.
Actively participate in
sales calls, site inspections, exhibitions, and trade shows
to promote the hotel's facilities.
Collaborate with the marketing team to promote
event packages and seasonal promotions

Event Coordination
Work closely with clients to
plan and customize event details
, including menu selection, seating arrangements, decor, and audio-visual requirements.
Coordinate with internal departments (kitchen, banquet, AV, front office, housekeeping) to ensure
smooth event execution

Conduct
pre-event briefings
with operations teams and ensure post-event evaluations are completed.
Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
Ensure all events meet brand standards and deliver an excellent guest experience.
Administration & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of all event bookings, contracts, and payments.
Prepare
weekly and monthly sales reports
, forecasts, and performance analyses.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
Support the Director of Sales & Marketing in implementing
sales strategies and pricing policies

Requirements
Diploma or Degree in
Hospitality Management, Marketing, Business, or related field
.
Minimum
3-5 years of experience
in event sales or catering within a hotel environment.
Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing client relationships.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Proficient in
MS Office
and hotel sales systems.
High level of professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail.
Able to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings, based on event requirements.
