The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and hygiene standards are consistently met across all managed properties. The role involves supervising housekeeping staff, inspecting guest rooms and common areas, managing inventory, and coordinating with other departments to deliver excellent guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, train, and schedule housekeeping staff to ensure efficient coverage of all shifts.
Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to maintain cleanliness and company standards.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
Monitor staff performance, provide coaching and corrective action where necessary.
Manage housekeeping supplies, linen, and inventory levels to control costs.
Handle guest requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
Prepare daily/weekly housekeeping reports and communicate with management.
Ensure all housekeeping equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
Support staff recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training.
Uphold company policies and procedures, ensuring team discipline and compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent (preferred).
At least 2-3 years of housekeeping experience, with 1 year in a supervisory role.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
Attention to detail with high standards of cleanliness.
Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, scheduling systems).
Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
