Job description:
HR Manager (based in Melaka)
Strategic Business Partner:
t * Building collaborative relationships with business leaders, anticipating, and addressing business-specific needs.
t * Actively participate in business planning and strategy sessions, demonstrating a solid understanding of HR policies, analytics, and processes, as well as the specific nature of the business.
Trusted advisor:
t * Act as a trusted advisor to assigned business functions on all people-related matters, fostering strong relationships, and serving as the go-to resource for HR guidance.
Performance and Reward Management:
t * Managing the Annual Performance Review, Annual Salary Review and Promotion Cycles.
t * Coaching people leaders on performance management strategies and processes (e.g. Annual Performance Review, PIP, etc)
t * Provide expert guidance on performance and reward management to business functions. o Advise on appropriate benchmarks tied to productivity, ensuring alignment of staff compensation with performance outcomes.
t * Facilitate the implementation of the reward strategy for the function, in line with market practices, benchmarks and corporate guidelines.
Industrial & Employee Relations:
t * Manage grievances and disciplinary procedures including conducting investigations, preparing the necessary disciplinary letters, and conducting domestic inquiries, ensure fair resolution in accordance with company policies and local employment laws.
t * Discuss improvement opportunities on employee relations matters with employees or managers.
t * Ensuring HR activities and advice comply with relevant policies and ethical standards, legal business obligations and legislations.
t * Communicate and implement HR policies changes in line with labour law requirements.
t * Representing company for cases involving escalation at IR office, Labour office and Industrial Relations Court when necessary.
Talent Management:
t * Maintain in-depth knowledge of talent within the function and drive talent development initiatives.
t * Collaborating with the functions to identify key talent and drive succession planning.
t * Collaborate with function head to identify future talent requirements and strategies for key hires and developing potential talent.
Employee Engagement:
t * Partner with line management to foster a positive workplace environment through employee communication, engagement and implementing measures to embed Givaudan purpose and values across the organization.
Operational Excellence:
t * Partner with Hiring Manager and Talent Acquisition team to ensure efficient hiring of open plant positions.
t * Driving the training and development programmes by conducting training needs analysis, designing & evaluating annual training plans.
t * Managing employee onboarding and offboarding.
t * Liaise with immigration authorities to process work visas/passes for expatriates, ensuring adherence to Malaysian regulations.
t * Administer employees' benefits programmes such as health insurance, flexible benefits, leave etc.
Change Management:
t * Identify issues requiring change management interventions due to organizational, policy, or personnel changes.
t * Collaborate with line managers and relevant teams to implement effective change management solutions.
Your professional profile includes:
t * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
t * Minimum 8-10 years of HR experience, including handling disciplinary actions and industrial relations.
t * Proven experience in misconduct investigations, grievance handling, and compliance management.
t * Local Industry Experience: Experience in the Malaysian manufacturing or FMCG sectors is crucial.
t * Familiarity with local labor laws and regulations is essential.
t * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
t * Willing to work at Melaka.
