The Human Resource Officer will manage all aspects of foreign worker employment, ensuring compliance with Malaysian labor laws and immigration policies. This role also involves providing comprehensive administrative support to the Human Resources department, including meticulous record-keeping and document management.
Key Responsibilities
Foreign Worker Management:
Work Permit Administration:
Manage the application, renewal, and cancellation processes for foreign worker permits, visas, and other necessary immigration documents.
Liaison with Authorities:
Act as a primary point of contact and liaison with Malaysian immigration and other relevant government agencies.
Onboarding & Offboarding:
Coordinate the arrival of new foreign workers, including accommodation and transportation arrangements, and manage offboarding procedures like repatriation.
Welfare & Accommodation:
Oversee foreign worker accommodations, ensuring they meet regulatory and safety standards, and address worker grievances.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all foreign worker documentation, employment contracts, and permits are current, compliant, and properly maintained.
FOMEMA & Insurance:
Handle applications and management of foreign worker FOMEMA (Foreign Workers Medical Examination) and relevant insurance policies.
Administrative Duties:
Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate and organized employee files, personnel records, and leave records, ensuring data integrity in the HR system.
Document Preparation:
Prepare and issue various HR-related letters, contracts, and other official documents for employees.
General Support:
Provide administrative support to the HR department, including filing, report generation, and assisting with ad-hoc projects.
Data Management:
Generate reports from HR systems, such as attendance reports and personnel action logs.
Requirements
Min SPM/STPM/Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
2-3 years of hands-on experience in human resources, with specific experience in foreign worker management, complete cycle is required.
Strong knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and immigration policies.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu.
Ability to work independently, under pressure, and effectively in a team.
