Bosch has been present in Malaysia since 1923, represented by Robert Bosch Sdn Bhd. In Malaysia, Bosch is active in four business sectors: Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology. The company has three manufacturing sites and research and development offices in Penang, producing automotive electronics, power tools and steering systems, and soon a fourth plant with a final testing centre for sensors and semiconductors. In 2020, Bosch Malaysia generated consolidated sales of RM 518.4 million (108.1 million euros), and currently employs more than 4,000 associates.

PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group\'s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production to commence in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch\'s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics\' fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.

Responsible for the review, development, implementation and monitoring of site\'s Environmental, Health and Safety programs and performance. Ensures compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws, regulations as well as applicable requirements that impact the organization. The main contact person for any government agencies and authorities pertaining HSE topic.

What you\'ll do:

  • Develops plans and implements site environmental, health and safety procedures/programs and ensures alignment with CD 03800 and AE EHS goals and objectives.
  • Establish ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management system.
  • Serve as lead auditor for EHS management system
  • Sustain and update ISO procedure as and when necessary
  • \xc2\xb7Main contact person for any government agencies and authorities pertaining HSE e.g. DOSH, DOE etc. Sustain and ensure compliance for legal requirement e.g. industrial hygiene report
  • Perform accident investigation, follow up on corrective action closure and report to DOSH as and when necessary
  • Analyze data, conduct trend analysis, apply problem-solving methodology and formulate recommendation to drive continual improvement of EHS management system performance.
  • Interact with all level of people to help develop or revise organization\'s documented procedures & WI\'s
  • Provides leadership in developing measures and practices that prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Establishes and promotes the maintenance of safe and healthy working conditions. Recommends measures to reduce or eliminate industrial accident and health hazards in compliance with OSHA standards. Establishes and ensures compliance to company safety procedures
  • Provide technical support to the management level on any EHS related subjects. Coordinate EHS committee meetings and follow up to ensure action required are addressed and closed.
  • Liaises with external sources (regulatory, contractor, supplier etc) to identify, document, and facilitate compliance with various legal and business EHS related requirements.
  • Develops and coordinates EHS related training programs for the employees that identified to receive such trainings.
  • Participates in the review of site facility layouts, designs, modifications in regards to life safety requirements, applicable codes, regulations, and equipment/tool EH&S requirements
Qualifications

What you\'ll need to have to succeed in this role:
  • At least a Bachelor\'s degree in Environmental Science or Occupational Safety and Health
  • At least 5 years working experiences in HSE in a manufacturing environment
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to develop relationships quickly and effectively at all levels throughout the company
  • Ability to work with people in a culturally diverse environment
  • Strong knowledge on Malaysia EHS related regulatory requirements, EMS and SMS requirement
  • Green book holder will be an added advantage
  • Self-independent, able to make decision by considering the best benefit for company
  • Responsibility and accountability-oriented person
  • Target driven person
  • Open for business trip and able to travel to Germany & China for training.
