\xe2\x80\xa2 Responsible for ensuring compliance with all HSSE requirements through monitoring and audit/inspection of the contractors. \xe2\x80\xa2 Support the development of OHS policies and programs. \xe2\x80\xa2 Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.). \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures. \xe2\x80\xa2 Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation. \xe2\x80\xa2 Initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives. \xe2\x80\xa2 Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment). \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc. \xe2\x80\xa2 Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy. \xe2\x80\xa2 Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker\xe2\x80\x99s compensation claims. \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management. \xe2\x80\xa2 Supervise team of HSSE officers and engineers from site Contractors. \xe2\x80\xa2 Review HSSE related documentation i.e., safe work method statement, risk assessment (JHA\xe2\x80\x99s) and provide acceptance. \xe2\x80\xa2 Lead HSSE initiatives and communication/coordination groups to share HSSE learning and ensure consistent standards and application. \xe2\x80\xa2 Updating and ensuring that all safety procedures are up to date and conforms to Malaysian Standards. \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in the implementation, review and improving the Safety Management System. \xe2\x80\xa2 Conducting and Managing Internal Audits (Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and closeout as per the schedule). \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure construction personnel are competent and received sufficient trainings before commencement of any works. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure compliance with ISO Quality Procedure Manual; and \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as and when required or attend ad-hoc matters assigned by Superior.
