Location: Malaysia

Job responsibilities:

Responsible for accounting topics for the APAC&ME with strong hands-on experience in handling full set of accounts. Aid the regional and country accountants regarding IFRS topics (i.e., accounting advisory to the business, closing and reporting tasks, disclosure requirements) Carry out tasks and oversee monthly closing activities. Coordinate and support audit activities (internal and external) Be a Topic Matter Expert for complex accounting topics. Be a strong partner to the local businesses within the APAC&ME region and support them in selected tasks. Perform financial statement reviews and follow-up on action items because of the reviews. Having additional experience in handling indirect and corporation tax matters would be appreciated. Take over the project management role for IT-migration, digitalization and process optimization initiatives. Support ad-hoc requirements/tasks.

Qualification/Skills:

Degree in Accounting and Finance with at least 5 years of working experience in Big 4, multinational corporation clients or direct multinational corporation. Professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA). Be well versed with local GAAP and IFRS and the application of the standards in practice. Ability to collaborate successfully in a multi-cultural and cross-functional environment. Expert knowledge and experience in accounting for construction contracts, forex accounting, provisions and accrual. Deep knowledge of SAP/SAP S4 HANA (especially finance modules) and value flows, preferably someone, who has worked in implementation or migration projects. Able to work independently, self-motivated, possess analytical skills and ability to adapt to change, Able to manage different stakeholders across different cultures Someone who has excellent communication and English skills and who is able to deal with a variety of stakeholders and senior management,
