Organization Description
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Human Resource Manager to join a group of construction & engineering companies in Petaling Jaya. Our client are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated HR professional to join their professional team, and play a pivotal role in the operation of HR activities within the organization.
Responsibilities
Reporting to Group GM, the position has both a strategic and operational focus. This role encompasses all employee levels of the business. This generalist position is responsible for the day-to-day operational matters, developing policies and programs covering employment, organizational development, compensation and benefits administration, employee and labor communication.
To direct and manage all aspects of employment, Industrial Relations, Employee health, services benefits & welfare, wages and salary administration.
Develop HR policy and direct/coordinate HR activities within the group.
Manage recruitment process, internal development and succession planning.
Manage all aspects of Performance Management.
Develop and maintain HR system where records can be retrieved.
Keep records of benefits plans participation such as insurance, personnel transactions.
Administer benefits programs such as life, health, dental insurance plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence.
Responsible to prepare budget of HR operations.
The candidate
As HR Manager, you will have an excellent knowledge of employment law, comprehensive employee relations experience and have experience in managing staff within the HR function. It is also preferable that you come with some experience of construction/engineering industry or from similar technical engineering environment.
Criteria summary:

• Tertiary education qualification in HR disciplines or Business Administration.
• Strong Human Resources generalist and leadership experience from construction or engineering industry.
• In depth experience of recruitment, training and development.
• In depth Industrial Relations issues.
• Strong grasp of employment legislation and guidelines in Malaysia.
• Good command of spoken and written English plus conversant in BM and Chinese/Mandarin.
